Pietra lo Cascio is born and baptized 17 November 1878 in Corleone. She is the daughter of Leoluca lo Cascio and Lucia Raja. Her godparents are Antoninus lo Cascio and Petra, his unmarried daughter.[1]
Pietra marries Vincenzo Puimolino, born of unknown parents in Palermo, and a resident since childhood of Corleone, on 26 November 1906. Her mother has died by this time.[2]
Pietra's father, Leoluca, dies aged 73 on 15 April 1907. [3]
That summer, Pietra, her husband, and her sister, Antonia, immigrate to the United States. Passengers from Corleone arriving 10 June 1907 in New York on the S.S. Nord-America, sailing from Palermo 25 May 1907 include:
